Updating multiple rows on gridview

The web form consists of a Grid View control and two buttons. The interesting part is that the Grid View is showing five rows that are empty.Frankly, you can mix both ways, but only when you exactly know why and what you're doing, what impact such update would have on your context(s) and usually in very specific scenarios. If you have X rows, you're going to issue X update statements to the database behind the scenes.

However, what if you want to insert multiple rows using Grid View?

The user can enter data in those five rows and then click on "Save All" button to save the data in the database.

Clicking on the "CLear Grid" will clear the entered data.

In real world cases developers often require such a mechanism.

Though there is no out of the box answer to this problem this article is going to demonstrate a possible solution. Have a look at the following figure that shows part of a web form.
